With over 12 years experience of the recruitment industry, Barry has a full understanding of the industry, its key players and the pressures affecting them which enables him to provide strategic commercial and legal advice at board level.

Increasing profitability and maximising value of client businesses, as part of an exit strategy, are the main goals Barry has in mind when advising clients on all areas concerning recruitment and resourcing.

Typically advising traditional recruitment agencies, RPOs, social media platforms, employers and contractors; Barry oversees the firm's provision of advice in all matters affecting recruitment clients, including areas as diverse as:

• confidential information protection (database security)
• restrictive covenants (drafting, enforcing and defending)
• business acquisition & sale
• business protection (direct hire dispute resolution)
• terms of business (negotiation, drafting and reviewing)
• employment law (contracts/policies, procedures and disputes)

• recruiting into foreign jurisdictions
• supplier negotiation
• general dispute resolution (including High Court)

Barry particularly enjoys the business protection element of his work, both in respect of restrictive covenant disputes and cases involving end clients directly hiring agent's candidates to avoid fee payments.
