The breakdown of a relationship is always stressful and often traumatic. Our job is to help you through the process of divorce with the efficiency and understanding that this difficult time demands.
In most divorce situations the two areas of primary concern are finances and children. These two areas often overlap but our primary aim in all cases is to aim for dispute resolution outside of Court proceedings. This might very well happen through negotiation with solicitors acting for the other party or it might, in appropriate cases, be useful to involve a neutral agency for mediation.
Sadly it is inevitably the case that some divorces will be litigated. This does not mean to say that all such cases end up being decided by a Court. Our aim is to continue constructive negotiations throughout divorce proceedings with a view to obtaining satisfactory settlement without burdening both parties with the additional stress and costs of a Court appearance.

Because divorce brings with it seismic lifestyle changes for all parties, it is often the case that our divorce lawyers will have to liaise with other departments within the firm.
